He attacked a 74-year-old with wire cutters at Fullerton CTA station, prosecutors say

CHICAGO — Prosecutors have charged a man with using wire cutters to viciously attack a 74-year-old man on a Red Line train in Lincoln Park.

Maurice Rocquemore, 38, pulled out the wire cutters and began striking the senior in the face and body at the Fullerton station around 10:45 p.m. on February 17, officials said. Rocquemore escaped after the attack, which prosecutors said was completely random.
