16-Year-Old Charged with Six Felony Counts in Chicago Armed Robbery Spree

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested and faces multiple charges in connection with a series of armed robberies that terrorized residents earlier this week. According to the Chicago Police Department, the juvenile offender, whose identity has not been released due to his age, is charged with six felony counts of armed robbery and one misdemeanor count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. These charges stem from a spree of armed robberies that took place on Tuesday. The alleged assailant was nabbed on Friday.

As reported by the Chicago Police, the youth is accused of menacing multiple victims across the city. The armed robberies occurred in a sequence, with the first one happening at 9:00 a.m. on the 2000 block of W. St Paul Ave, where a 24-year-old male was victimized. Subsequent attacks included four male victims—ages 23, 23, 27, and 35—on the 2700 block of N. Albany Ave at 9:58 a.m., and a 26-year-old male on the 2500 block of W.
