Chicago police have apprehended 42-year-old Chenault Williams and charged him with the attempted murder of a 22-year-old woman, following an incident that occurred in the city’s West Side. According to the official statement from the Chicago Police Department, Williams, a resident of the 200 block of N. Kenneth Ave. is facing one felony count each of attempted first-degree murder, aggravated battery with a firearm, and aggravated domestic battery, along with a misdemeanor count each of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and theft.
The charges stem from last Tuesday’s altercation in the 4300 block of W. West End Ave, where Williams reportedly shot the young woman, critically wounding her. Having been on the run since the shooting, Williams was eventually arrested on Friday, by members of the Chicago Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Task Force.
