Alleged Venezuelan Gang Member Arrested In South Shore Triple Shooting That Killed 2 Woman

SOUTH SHORE — An alleged member of a notorious Venezuelan street gang has been arrested in Georgia in connection to a South Shore shooting that killed two women and injured another woman early this year, according to federal authorities.

Ricardo Gonzales, 32, was arrested Thursday in Cobb County, Georgia, the U.S. Dept. of Justice announced Friday. He was wanted in the Jan. 28 kidnapping and shooting of the three women in a South Shore alley.

Just before 5 a.m. on Jan. 28, police found three women — all believed to be between 20 and 30 years old — who had been shot and unresponsive in an alley near the 7700 block of South Oglesby Avenue, Chicago police said at the time…
