Robber beat 67-year-old victim with wrench, pistol and then left his own wallet behind: allegations

CHICAGO — Prosecutors have charged a man with using a wrench and a gun to beat a man twice his age during an armed robbery and then accidentally leaving his own wallet at the crime scene.

The robbery occurred around 8:20 a.m. on February 10 in the 600 block of North Laramie, but Chicago police only recently arrested 36-year-old Andre Moses to face charges in the case.

Prosecutors said the 67-year-old victim was outside his home when Moses struck him in the head with a large crescent wrench and then chased him around a parked car and across the street for a couple of minutes…
