The deadline to get a Real ID in Illinois is quickly approaching, with less than six weeks to go before the new ID guidelines are put in place.

Children under 18 are not required to provide identification when traveling with a companion within the U.S. The companion will need acceptable identification, however.

A valid passport or passport card is still required for international flights – a Real ID will not suffice.
