CHICAGO — An 86-year-old man is critically injured and unlikely to survive after a woman pushed him to the ground because he was leaning on her car in Chinatown, officials said.
“I’m sorry for pushing the old man,” Janet Yu, 48, allegedly told Chicago police officers when she returned to the scene shortly after she pushed the man. Prosecutors said video cameras were rolling when the woman confronted the man in the 2400 block of South Wallace around noon on April 3.
A witness also told police that he saw Yu push the octogenarian several times, causing him to fall and strike his head. The witness provided police with video that showed Yu becoming irate, striking the man, and driving away in her black Acura, a CPD report said…
