The Chicago Police Department has issued a community alert following a series of armed robberies targeting construction workers in the Gresham neighborhood. Authorities report that one or two male suspects, dressed in dark clothing and black ski masks, have approached workers on construction sites, displayed a handgun, and demanded personal belongings before fleeing on foot.
The robberies, which began in late January and continued through early April, have occurred at eight different locations within proximity, including the 7800 block of South Honore Street and the 7700 block of South Hermitage Avenue. The first incident was reported on January 18, 2025, at 7:52 a.m., with the most recent occurring on April 10, 2025, at 9:31 a.m.
The suspects are described as Black males between 16 and 20 years old, approximately 5’07” to 5’11” in height, wearing all-black or dark clothing and ski masks. The offenders remain unidentified, and no arrests have been reported as of this time…
