CHICAGO — Investigators have been trying to determine if the man shot and killed in Lincoln Park on Wednesday evening was murdered during a confrontation with package thieves. That’s the early word from a resident who spoke with Chicago cops and a law enforcement source.
The 28-year-old victim lived on the 800 block of West Lill, the same block where he was shot around 9:20 p.m. Officials have not yet released his name to the public, however.
While making it clear that the investigation is still young, the source said police found a package addressed to a nearby resident near the murder scene, along with a rubber glove.
