Teen critically injured after being hit by vehicle while running on Far South Side

CHICAGO – A teen was critically injured after being hit by a vehicle while running on the Far South Side Saturday evening.

Chicago police said the incident happened just after 5 p.m. in the 400 block of West 112th Street near South Stewart Avenue in Roseland.

A 17-year-old girl was running northbound on South Stewart Avenue when she was hit by a silver sedan also traveling northbound on South Stewart Avenue, according to investigators.

Police said the sedan then came to a rest in the 400 block of West 112th Street after hitting a fence. The driver of the sedan, a female, then got out of the vehicle and ran away…
