Man charged with attempted I-94 shooting in Chicago

CHICAGO ( WGN ) — A Chicago man faces felony charges in connection with an expressway shooting, Illinois State Police announced Wednesday.

Freddie Jones, 33, faces two counts of attempted murder and two counts of aggravated discharge of a firearm stemming from the Sunday, April 27 shooting incident on Interstate-94, the Edens Expressway.

According to ISP, the shooting occurred on northbound I-94 near 71st, with a bullet piercing the victim’s vehicle.
