A suburban high school senior was killed in an early morning car crash Sunday on the Bishop Ford Freeway, with school officials calling the incident a “tragic loss.”
The single-vehicle fatal crash occurred at 4:31 a.m. Sunday morning in Calumet City, on the Sibley Boulevard ramp to I-94 northbound, Illinois State Police said. ISP first said the sole occupant of the vehicle, an 18-year-female, was transported to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead.
ISP later told NBC Chicago a 16-year-old male from Riverdale had been driving the car. ISP added the driver was not injured…
