Chicago Mayor Sends Strong Message to Pope Leo XIV

Robert Prevost has been elected as the 267th Pope of the Roman Catholic Church, becoming the first American to hold papacy in the Church’s 2,000 year old history.

The 69-year old, who holds citizenship in both the United States and Peru, will be known as Pope Leo XIV. Prevost served as the Prior General of the Augustinian Order for two terms and was the Archbishop of Chiclayo, Peru.
