Chicago police officers fatally shot a man Thursday after he allegedly fled from the scene of an aggravated battery on the city’s far South Side into Indiana, crashed his vehicle and fired shots at police.
The Civilian Office of Police Accountability is investigating the shooting, which occurred around 6 p.m. Thursday after 4th District officers responded to a report of a person with a gun in the 13400 block of South Baltimore Avenue.
