Edgewater Restaurant Closed By Police After 2 Killed, 1 Wounded In Shooting Nearby

EDGEWATER — Two men were killed and one man was wounded Saturday in a shooting outside an Edgewater bar-restaurant that was ordered to close because of the violence, according to police.

The shooting happened around 1:20 a.m. Saturday near Porkchop BBQ restaurant, 6341 N. Broadway. Officers responded to calls of a shooting and found three men suffering from gunshot wounds, police said.

A 28-year-old man was shot multiple times in his body and was taken by paramedics to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, where he was pronounced dead, police said. A 31-year-old man was shot in his chest and was taken to Weiss Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said…
