CHICAGO — Opening statements began Monday in the trial for the man accused in stabbing an 11-year-old boy to death and seriously injuring his pregnant mother.
Twelve jurors and four alternates were seated on Friday. Crosetti Brand is representing himself and facing 17 charges, including first-degree murder and domestic battery.
