Chicago Police Seek Help Locating Missing 77-Year-Old Woman with Dementia

The Chicago Police Department is seeking public assistance in locating a missing elderly woman, Jo Turner, age 77, who suffers from dementia. The missing person alert was disseminated through the department’s news portal. Ms. Turner was last seen on May 13, 2025, in the vicinity of the 5000 block of W. Huron at approximately 2:30 p.m., according to an official statement released by the Chicago Police Department.

Turner is described as a Black female, 5 feet tall, weighing around 120 pounds, with brown eyes, and gray & black hair. At the time she went missing, she was wearing a grey nylon jogging top, blue pants, and blue canvas gym shoes with white bottoms. The Department has emphasized her medical condition, noting that Turner suffers from dementia, which elevates concerns for her well-being.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about Jo Turner’s whereabouts to immediately contact the Area Four Special Victims Unit at 312-746-8251.
