AVONDALE — A bustling thoroughfare that connects much of the Northwest Side has inspired a new literary magazine that aims to highlight the street’s stories and diversity.
Milwaukee Avenue, known as a popular business and arts district, the city’s main bike highway, a state-designated immigrant heritage corridor and once a Native American trail that leads to Wisconsin, is the inspiration for the new publication, Milwaukee Avenue Messenger.
