Gunman gets 6 years for Thanksgiving night shooting on Eisenhower Expressway

One of three men accused of participating in an expressway shooting on Thanksgiving night in 2023 received a 6-year sentence on Thursday.

Rishaud Rhodes, 20, who faced multiple attempted murder charges, pleaded guilty to a less serious count of aggravated discharge of a firearm toward an occupied vehicle. Judge Sophia Atcherson handed him the prison sentence, which must be served at 50% before he is eligible for release.
