Springfield Police Seek Public’s Help in Locating Runaway Teen Possibly Heading to Chicago

The Springfield Police Department has reached out to the public through social media, in an effort to find 15-year-old Ryan DeLeon-Velasquez who has been reported as a runaway. According to Facebook post shared by the department, Ryan was last known to be making plans to travel to Chicago but could still be in the Connecticut area.

Described as approximately 5’5” and weighing around 135 lbs, authorities have released these details in hopes that people will come forward with any current information regarding the whereabouts of DeLeon-Velasquez; Ryan left behind a note outlining their intention to venture towards Chicago, but there remains a possibility that they are still close to home in Connecticut. The Youth Aid Bureau spearheading the search encourages anyone with knowledge of Ryan’s location to reach out to the detectives or the non-emergency line provided by the Springfield Police Department.
