Man arrested in Summit with gun

A 23-year-old Wood Dale man was arrested early May 18 after allegedly fleeing a trucking company’s property in Summit, where police had responded to a report of trespassing.

Officers arrived at the business near Center and Archer Avenue around 2:37 a.m. after receiving a call about possible intruders. Witnesses told police that individuals in dark clothing were seen crawling under a perimeter fence to leave the site.

During the investigation, officers stopped a vehicle leaving the area and determined it was an Uber transporting two people. As an officer attempted to question them, one man fled and was not found. The second man also tried to run but was caught nearby after a short chase.

Police said the man, later identified as Zachary Annoreno, 23, of Wood Dale, had a firearm in his possession…
