A suspect is in custody after an armed security guard was carjacked at gunpoint near Wicker Park overnight. The carjacking, which occurred in the 1200 block of North Bosworth just before 12:30 a.m., may be linked to a robbery spree that had just concluded in Lakeview and Lincoln Park.
According to a Chicago police spokesperson, a 32-year-old man was sitting in his car when four masked men confronted him with firearms and ordered him out of the vehicle. He complied, and they fled with his orange Dodge Charger and a firearm that was inside the vehicle.
