EDGEWATER — More than 250 neighbors and activists came out loud and proud to support a drag story time at the Edgewater public library branch on Monday, helping to safely escort families and library patrons into the building as a handful of people gathered to protest the event.
The event was almost entirely peaceful, though one of the protesters was arrested outside the library after a signed complaint was filed, according to police.
