A shooting on the West Side last weekend was a “senseless” act by a driver enraged by another motorist’s lane change, authorities said. The revelation came as prosecutors charged 25-year-old Darion Gaddy with firing the shots that injured a 55-year-old man in the 300 block of South Central on Sunday afternoon.
Prosecutors said Darion Gaddy and the victim were stopped at a traffic signal when the victim attempted to merge into Gaddy’s lane after the light turned green. The maneuver forced Gaddy’s vehicle closer to oncoming traffic.
