Cops stop for drinks, bump into slot machine burglar carrying cash box and a crowbar

It may be time for Yong Suk Lee to cash out his burglary career. The 36-year-old Palatine man is back behind bars after police say he walked out of a Little Village gas station with a crowbar in one hand and a slot machine cash box in the other—right into the arms of officers who had simply stopped by for a drink.

And he did it while on pretrial release for allegedly doing the exact same thing.

It happened near 28th and Pulaski, where patrol officers pulled into a Mobil station for refreshments and spotted Lee walking out. According to a CPD report, Lee locked eyes with them while casually toting the brightly colored cash box and a large crowbar…
