3 men face weapon charges after Sunday shooting in Rockford

ROCKFORD, Ill (WTVO) — Three men face weapon charges after Rockford Police said they possibly involved in a Sunday shooting.

Rockford Police SCOPE officers pulled over a vehicle near Horace Avenue and Elm Street around 11:45 p.m. Sunday night. Police believed the vehicle may have been involved in a reckless discharge of a firearm earlier in the night in the 1800 block of West State Street.

According to officers, a loaded handgun with a laser/light attachment and a second loaded handgun with extended magazine were found. Both weapons were reported stolen out of Louisville, Kentucky…
