ICE arrests undocumented immigrant after missing Illinois woman’s body found in yard

CHICAGO, Ill. (WTVO) — Federal authorities have arrested an undocumented immigrant accused of storing a missing Illinois woman’s dead body in a bleach container in his yard. ICE agents arrested the suspect after he was released from custody under the SAFE-T Act.

According to the Department of Homeland Security, Jose Luis Mendoza-Gonzales, 52, of Waukegan, was arrested in April and charged with concealing a corpse, abusing a corpse, and obstruction of justice, after the body of Megan Bos, 37, was found in a container in his yard.

Bos had been reported missing in the Village of Antioch on March 9th.

DHS said Bos’ body was found decapitated and stored in a bleach storage container in the 700 block of Yeoman Street in Waukegan, but that claim was refuted by Bos mother and proven wrong by autopsy records, according to WGN
