Dane Co. Jail staff to be vigilant opening mail after Cook Co. Jail warning

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – Dane County deputies will be taking more precautions as they sort through mail at the county’s jail after there was concern about contraband entering the Cook County Jail.

According to a release from Dane County, Cook County officials are noticing a trend of people sending contraband into the jail by spraying Purple Raid onto paper.

This spray is not easily noticeable. Officials said a person can place this sprayed paper under their tongue, smoke it or eat it, and it will give a feeling of euphoria…
