HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — A Chicago area man is in the Vanderburgh County Jail on rape and theft charges.
The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office says Craig Bryan raped a woman and was later connected to the thefts of home improvement equipment in Illinois.
Deputies say the rape occurred at a Vanderburgh County hotel. Authorities say Bryan came to Evansville to steal a backhoe from Home Depot, but the theft plans were thwarted by the rape arrest.
