A 35-year-old man accused of luring a teenager from a South Side gas station and raping her in his garage while she cried for help on a live 911 call has been ordered detained pending trial.
Prosecutors say Jarad DeYoung crossed paths with the 19-year-old victim late on July 24 at a gas station in the 9400 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue and offered her a ride home.
After entering a car with DeYoung, a female driver, and another male passenger, the teen changed her mind and said she wanted to leave. Instead of letting her out, Assistant State’s Attorney Christine Senger said, DeYoung held her door closed to keep her from leaving…
