A federal judge sentenced former Cook County Commissioner Jeff Tobolski to four years in prison for his extensive extortion and bribery scheme as commissioner and mayor of tiny west-suburban McCook.
During his sentencing hearing on Monday, Tobolski told the judge that what he had done was wrong, and apologized to his victims — “many who were friends and they were supporters” — as well as his wife and daughter.
