A Chicago father was killed during a Facebook Live stream, and police are searching for the person responsible. According to the Chicago Police Department (CPD), Kevin Watson, a father from Chicago, was sitting in his car on West Madison Street in South Austin on August 14, around 6:14 p.m., when another car arrived. Someone inside that car pulled out a handgun and shot him.
Watson was rushed to the hospital, but the Cook County Medical Examiner confirmed he died from a bullet wound to his chest. His sister, Teletha Watson, shared more details about what happened.
Shooting Captured on Livestream
The tragic event was recorded on Facebook Live. Reports from NBC News and ABC 7 Chicago said Watson started his livestream shortly after leaving a nearby liquor store. Moments later, the shooting happened on camera.
