Chicago Police Seek Public’s Help to Find Missing 22-Year-Old Tia Detrayon; Endangered and Possibly in Need of Assistance

The Chicago Police Department is actively seeking the public’s assistance in locating Tia Detrayon, a 22-year-old woman reported missing since August 9, 2025. Detrayon is described as a Black female with brown eyes, black hair, a light brown complexion, standing at 5 feet 2 inches tall, and weighing around 150 pounds. Of particular note, she has a scar on her left lower torso and a burn on her left foot. This information was released in a public bulletin posted on the Chicago Police Department’s official website.

In the moments last seen, Detrayon was wearing an ankle bracelet on her left foot. She is known to frequent the 8500 block of South Carpenter, the CTA Red Line on 79th Street, and the 6300 block of South Kedzie. According to the department’s Special Victims Unit (SVU), Detrayon may be engaged in panhandling.
