Man carjacked repo man to take back relative’s car, prosecutors say

A 23-year-old Chicago man accused of teaming up with two relatives to take back a repossessed car at gunpoint is free on electronic monitoring after a judge denied prosecutors’ request to detain him.

Prosecutors said a 33-year-old repo man was dispatched last Thursday to pick up a Chrysler 300 in the 800 block of South Keeler due to delinquent payments. After the repo man began driving away with the Chrysler, Bush allegedly pulled his green Charger in front of the truck on the 800 block of South Kilpatrick.

Three men got out of the Charger, with one pointing a firearm at the repo man and ordering him to “drop” the Chrysler, prosecutors said. The tow truck driver complied. Bush allegedly climbed back into the Charger while his two relatives drove away in the no-longer-repossessed Chrysler…
