Chicago Police Seek Suspect in Attempted Child Luring Incident on West Side

Authorities are on the lookout for a suspect involved in an attempted child luring incident on Chicago’s West Side, as reported by ABC7 Chicago. A 12-year-old girl reported that early Tuesday morning, around 5:50 a.m., she was approached by an unknown man in a vehicle in the 4800 block of West Potomac Avenue, near the West Humboldt Park neighborhood boundary.

The Chicago Police Department detailed that the man made a hand gesture, presumably to lure the girl closer to his vehicle. Despite the early hour, the girl managed quickly to return home and then later informed school authorities about the encounter. The suspect’s vehicle was last seen driving east on Potomac before heading south through the north alley of Cicero Avenue, according to information obtained by FOX 32 Chicago.

Further descriptions of the suspect were given as an African American male between 30 to 40 years old with a shaved head. He was seen driving a black minivan, fitted with black mag wheels. Police are now urging anyone with knowledge of the incident or the individual involved to come forward…
