A family feud over unpaid parking tickets and marijuana sales ended in murder on the city’s West Side last summer, officials said as they laid out their case against an Elgin man.
Prosecutors charged 39-year-old Osceola Little with first-degree murder in the death of his younger brother, 33-year-old Robert Little, during a violent confrontation in the 4800 block of West West End on August 19, 2024.
In a detention filing, prosecutors said tensions grew between the men because Osceola repeatedly borrowed Robert’s car and racked up traffic and parking tickets without paying them. Within a few months, Robert believed his brother owed him more than $1,200 for those tickets.
