Man accused of groping 5 women, including Loyola students, in Rogers Park

A 39-year-old man is accused of sexually abusing or touching at least five women in Rogers Park on Sunday evening, including three Loyola University students, before campus police detained him, according to court records.

The first reported incident occurred around 7 p.m. when he allegedly grabbed a 21-year-old woman’s private parts with his left hand in the 1200 block of West Arthur. Minutes later, that woman’s roommate, a 21-year-old Loyola student, was also targeted when Chichua slid his right hand across her hip, prosecutors said.

Chichua then moved toward Sheridan Road. A 20-year-old Loyola student reported that he touched and fondled her private parts over her clothing in the 6400 block of North Sheridan.

An 18-year-old Loyola student told police she was shopping inside CVS, 6510 North Sheridan Road, when Chichua grabbed her buttocks from behind and walked away. Prosecutors said he returned to the same aisle and groped the woman again moments later…
