Chicago man nicknamed ‘Unc’ convicted in West Virginia fentanyl trafficking, could face life in prison

WHEELING, W.Va. — A Chicago man has been convicted on federal drug charges for leading a trafficking operation that moved fentanyl from Illinois to West Virginia.

Gerald Henry, 41, also known as “Unc,” was found guilty of two counts involving the distribution of fentanyl and cocaine. Prosecutors said Henry supplied large amounts of the drugs to Hancock County, West Virginia, for resale.

During a search of his residence in Weirton, investigators recovered more than 400 grams of fentanyl.

Henry faces a minimum of 10 years and up to life in prison on each count. A federal district judge will determine his sentence after reviewing U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other factors…
