Seven people were murdered and 26 others were wounded in shootings across Chicago over the weekend, according to police. The weekend’s tally marked a modest increase from the same period last year, though city violence-tracking site HeyJackass notes that four years since 2015 have had more shootings during the same weekend while six have had fewer.
No mass shootings, defined as incidents with four or more people shot, were reported this weekend.
