A 23-year-old man who was shot in Rogers Park on Monday night is no stranger to Chicago police.
CPD said the man arrived at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston around 10 p.m. with a gunshot wound to his right leg. Investigators determined he had been shot minutes earlier in the 7300 block of North Winchester Avenue, where officers found about a dozen shell casings outside an apartment building.
Police did not provide further details about what led up to the shooting or who pulled the trigger. The man underwent surgery and was listed in fair condition.
