A large presence of federal agents on Chicago’s North and Northwest Sides Friday sent schools into soft lockdown as a safety precaution.
Videos posted to social media showed federal agents out in Wicker Park, Bucktown, Lincoln Park and Lakeview. There have also been reports of federal agents as far north as Roscoe Village, and video posted to social media showing agents deploying tear gas in the street while neighbors were out recording their actions on their phones.
Significant immigration enforcement activity was reported near Hermitage and Cortland, Belmont and Broadway, and on Superior, where they reportedly detained a man at Erie Health Center, amid other locations…
