2 people detained by federal agents during traffic stop in Addison, Illinois

Two people were detained by federal agents during a traffic stop on Sunday morning in Addison, Illinois, immigration officials said.

The agents conducted the stop at La Huerta supermarket at Lake Street and Addison Road around 9 a.m. Addison is about 22 miles west of Chicago. The manager of the store recorded the incident on social media.

A spokesperson for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said the occupants inside the car did not cooperate with commands from agents, which resulted in the agents breaking the vehicle’s window to arrest the two individuals.
