You’ve heard of some counties wanting to break away from Illinois? A group called “New Illinois Inc” wants to create a new state separate from the current Illinois, Chicago and urban Cook County.
The group’s news release says their Fox River Valley Region for “New Illinois Inc” will hold an informational event November 8 at Sunfield Restaurant in Ottawa. New Illinois leaders from across the state will be present and admission is free.
