Community groups provide food assistance to Chicagoans amid SNAP benefits freeze

Community groups and organizations are stepping up to help Chicagoans impacted by the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefit freeze put food on the table after SNAP benefits lapsed Saturday for 42 million Americans who rely on food assistance due to the ongoing government shutdown.
