Arrest made in New Mexico linked to Illinois investigation

Authorities in New Mexico say they arrested a suspect in connection with an ongoing Illinois investigation.

According to a statement from the New Mexico State Police, a license plate reader received a hit that a stolen vehicle from Illinois was on Interstate 40 in Quay County, New Mexico. The state patrol office conducted a traffic stop of the car and arrested the two people inside, a man and a juvenile male.
