DUPAGE COUNTY (WGN) — A Chicago husband and father is in Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody after federal agents smashed the windows of his car to arrest him Friday morning in Wheaton. Attorneys for the man say the agents went too far.
Family members, who asked not to be identified out of fear, say they are still shaken after the arrest near the DuPage County Courthouse around 9 a.m. Their attorney, criminal defense lawyer Nate Bernard, said ICE agents failed to show any judicial warrant before taking the man into custody.
“Had it been a judicial warrant, there would have been a copy of that issued by the court and then they present that to my client. They did none of those things,” Bernard said…
