Three People Killed After Car Overturns and Catches Fire on Chicago’s Southwest Side

CHICAGO, IL – A deadly rollover crash on the Southwest Side of Chicago left three people dead late Saturday night, according to authorities. Emergency crews responded to the scene after witnesses reported a vehicle that had overturned and burst into flames along a busy stretch of roadway.

The Deadly Crash

Chicago police said a single vehicle lost control at high speed, struck a curb or median, and rolled multiple times before coming to rest upside down. The car sustained heavy damage, trapping all three occupants inside as flames erupted from the engine area.

Firefighters arrived within minutes and worked to extinguish the blaze and remove the victims, but all three were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Chicago Fire Department. Officials said the crash appeared to involve no other vehicles.
