WHEATON, Ill. (WGN) — A man convicted in the near-fatal 2022 expressway shooting of a pregnant woman in Willowbrook has been sentenced for the crime.
A DuPage County judge on Friday sentenced 42-year-old Lawrence Grant, formerly of Chicago, to 48 years behind bars after a jury convicted him in the Jan. 28, 2022 shooting of a woman who was eight months pregnant while she drove her vehicle on Route 83.
The jury found Grant guilty of attempted first-degree murder, aggravated battery, and aggravated discharge of a firearm, all of which are felonies.
