Eighteen people were shot across Chicago over the weekend, and four of them died, according to police. The victims included 16 men and 2 women, ranging in age from 15 to 55 years old.
According to HeyJackass, which tracks Chicago violence using official and open-source data, the total of 18 victims is an increase of four compared to last year. Still, the just-ended weekend ranks as one of the city’s less violent weekends this year. It is also the lowest total for the same weekend since 2018, when eight people were shot.
