Pre-trial release denied for convicted felon accused of robbing Oak Brook Gas Station

OAK BROOK, Ill. — Pre-trial release has been denied for a convicted felon accused of robbing a suburban gas station while out on parole.

Jamion Winters, a 34-year-old Maywood resident, has been charged with one count of unlawful possession of a firearm by a repeat felony offender and one count of armed robbery with a firearm, DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin announced Thursday.

Berlin said the charges stem from Winters’ alleged role in an armed robbery that unfolded at a Circle K gas station in the 2200 block of West 22nd Street, on Nov. 9.
